Redlands Municipal Airport in Redlands, California will be my next project. I'm off to a slow start because I have another scenery that I am working on for Golden Age Simulations. But I'll be taking my time on this scenery anyway. Here's the first progress screenshot: -Photoscenery added -Photo ground polygon added, see tutorial.

The base tarmac polygons have now been added.

Another quick update: I added what you might call the "color variation" layer. It gives the ground polygons a more realistic look rather then uniformly black tarmac. This layer actually goes last, but I wanted to test it out first.

Next up - the taxi lines. They are close to being finished. After the taxi lines are done I'll be working on the other markings such as runway numbers, hold lines, etc.

Runway markings are done. The next thing I will be doing is creating the cracks, tar streaks, and other inconsistencies on the tarmac. Also, I will be stopping by the airport again to take photos of the hangars so I can remember where to place them in the scenery. From that point on it will be mostly eye candy work.
