I just recently learned how to create Gmax terrain for use as a landable platform in either FSX or FS9. I may be using this in a future project

Hi Scuba,
I need some help about your help to create Gmax Terrain, and the platform for landable but when I export the bgl file, then MAKEMDL for FS9 crash I think aht is related with the number of polys and the platform, because if I export the mesh only without mesh the BGL is created fine.
Any idea how to proceed for dont crash with the export MAKEMDL ...

I haven't been doing any scenery design for awhile now due to school and work so I can't recall what the limitations are exactly.
The poly count is likely the problem, though, so I would reduce the number of rows and columns you specify in the grid when creating the mesh in Gmax. Otherwise, use boolean tool to shave off any excess mesh on the edges.
