My payware company is called Flight Sim Designs. I would love to have you onboard, if you want to, to design the airports and such for our photoreal scenery. The website is under construction.
Thanks Andrew

Thanks for the offer but I'm sticking with freeware for now. Unless you can come close to the quality offered by the top payware companies, it's a tough market.
And the big companies have a team of workers. How nice that would be to have one person making the textures, the other designing the ground polygons, another making objects, and the last person doing photo scenery.
If they are all good at their jobs, the result is fantastic scenery.

FSDS is not the program to use for ground polygons because you will have a hard time creating the shapes.
However, if you want to make simple ground polygons with FSDS you can. Just export the model to a .X file, run it through the FS2002 MakeMDL, edit the ASM files, and run back through BGLC.

Yes, I knew you were talking about your website. You may want to consider creating freeware works right now until you have more experience with scenery design.
3 years later and I'm still doing free work.
You can find answers to most of your questions by searching the FS Developer forums. If it's not in the wiki, chances are someone already asked that question in the forums.
Remember, they are helping you for free.

rgr, you've got a good point. If I would release my scenery as freeware, would you help me promote downloads?
Right now I am working on Florida X, the whole state of Florida photoreal highres scenery.
BTW I really thank you for all the help. I always am eager to read your reply. ;-)
Thanks
