hey again, i saw your photoground polygon tutorial and i just wondered how to avoid the white lines between the textures? do you get them? i don't really use the same method as you are, but it still ends up in gmax the same so i should be a general solution thanks

Again, I can't recall off the top of my head how to fix such specific problems. I'll give you my best explanation, though...
Let's say your image is 512x512, and the resolution is calculated at 1 meter/pixel. So, you put two of these together and make a 512x1024 rectangle with two different textures. And now you're seeing white lines, correct? To solve this, I'd change the UVW mapping in Gmax to simulate the texture as being 511x511, or simply 1 pixel smaller.
This expands the textures to completely touch the edge of the polygon and eliminate any white lines.
It's all experimentation - I ran into these problems when I first began designing, after awhile you learn the tricks.
